For example, let’s say something catastrophic happens, and the ambulance comes and takes you to the hospital. You don’t have a chance to alert your employer. Well, the fact that an ambulance came to your workplace to pick you up is a pretty good indication that you were hurt. You must always inform your employer no later than 30 days from the date you knew of the injury. You have one year from the date of the injury to report it to the State Board of Worker’s Compensation through a Notice of Claim.More
